The Northern Lights

The Northern Lights, or Aurora, are formed when high energy particles hit our magnetic field and are channeled into the upper atmosphere. These high energy particles collide with the various gasses causing them to glow various colors. This Aurora was a rare treat in to be seen as far south as Arkansas.
