Buzzards Description: A group of Turkey Vultures or buzzards are perched in this tree on a gloomy afternoon. Turkey vultures can be found throughout most of the Americas and feeds off carrion. They lack a syrinx —the vocal organ of birds—so its only vocalizations are grunts or low hisses. They usually nest in caves, hollow trees, or thickets, and generally raise two chicks each year. With its' large size, it has very few natural predators. Location: Greenbrier, Arkansas Source: Stephen Meeks Tomorrow: Water Towers
