Programming we are working on...

  • Updated - April 8, 2008
  • Radar Tool - Trends - Trend Scanning of radar images to determine precipitation trends.  For example, is the coverage area of rain getting larger or smaller.  (In Work.)
  • Radar Tool - Coverage Area - Scanning Radar images to determine coverage area.  For example, how many square miles is covered by moderate rain.  A reworking of the Coverage Area and Trends into a new graphical window.  Click here for a sneak peak. (In Work.)
  • Error Checking - More efficient handling of coverage and trend scanning. (In progress)
  • Download Count - When downloading loop images the program now tells you which image in the loop it is downloading.  For example: 7 of 25  (Complete)

 

  • Updated - March 4, 2008
  • Error Checking - Better handling error message when dynamic radar images (radar, legend, warning) are not available.  (Complete)
  • Local Radars - Want to move to an adjacent radar site, in the past you had to go back to the National Radar or select it from the drop down list.  Now, just click on the map, and the program will automatically change you to the closest radar site. (Complete)
  • United States National / Regional Radar - Instead of your mouse having to be within 7 pixels of a radar site to select it, the program will select the closest site to your mouse location. (Complete)
  • Default Settings - A new screen for setting your default preferences, including your location. (Complete)
  • New Scene - The Weather and Astronomy scenes have been separated into different tabs. (Complete)
